Maya Kodes' team hits the road again, and this time they are visiting Atlanta at the Georgia Tech's Ferst Center for the Arts on March 29 at 8 p.m. The world’s first interactive real-time virtual pop star, Kodes is the creation of Neweb Labs in Montreal. The voice and facial expressions of Maya Kodes are delivered by our artist Nessa Roque, in real-time through a sophisticated motion capture technology. Nessa Roque is also the main songwriter of the project, with producer Pakø.
Local dancers from Atlanta will join Maya onstage for this performance. “Though we presented Maya Kodes in special events or free showcases before, our Ferst Center performance is the first stop in a concert tour,” said producer Yves St-Gelais. “We chose Atlanta for this launch because Georgia Tech is highly respected in the tech community, and we believe the Atlanta market is ready for technology in entertainment.”
The debut of Maya Kodes: The Virtual Singer takes place at Georgia Tech’s Ferst Center for the Arts on March 29 at 8 p.m. Tickets available at Arts.GaTech.edu or 404-894-9600.
